Future Book
Sifting Grains of Sand
Sifting Grains of Sand is a science-fiction/fantasy, new adult novel that I am currently writing. I will be submitting it for publication this year.
Here is what it is about:
When Summer's sister and his best friend Jack's brother go missing in close succession, they and their group of friends decide to investigate, only to find themselves entangled in a dark plan involving their families and a world far bigger than they could have imagined.

Excerpt from "Time Given"
The cool, wet, autumn breeze rushed in through the open crack in the kitchen window, drying the tears Lydia had left on her cheeks. She didn’t care how the air stung them or that her hands were getting wrinkly inside her dishwashing gloves.
She used to hate how wet English falls were. Today it suited her fine. Dark, damp, dismal and lonely. The grounds of the estate echoed her insides.
Writing Excerpts
Excerpt from Sifting Grains of Sand:
Summer lay there staring at his ceiling. Its orange color looked almost dull pink in the early morning light. It seemed strange to be lying there awake, alive. He felt so numb.
It didn't seem like a little over two weeks ago he'd been laughing and talking with Grace, like any normal siblings would. He could remember what happened like it was yesterday.
Excerpt from "The Rainbow Machine"
“Sean! I thought you were going to take a break today!”
Sean saved his work and glanced at the silhouette of his wife. “I did. We had a nice lunch, didn’t we?”
“That’s not – I thought you said today was meant to be special. I thought things were going to be different.” The tremor in her voice betrayed how deeply upset she was.
He fiddled with his mouse, avoiding her eyes. He’d thought things were going to be different too. It wasn’t that simple.
